“DAILY KOS TOUR”

          After meeting in front of Mavişehir Egepark at 04.15, in front of Karşıyaka Monument at 04.30, in front of Alsancak Station FMA Travel Office at 04.45, and in front of Üçkuyular Shell at 05.00, we start our trip to Bodrum for the Kos Tour from İzmir. On this breathtaking island, which is the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of medicine, which we reached during the most beautiful hours of the morning, we first visit the island center with our guide. During this favourable tour, we first see the Historical Kos Castle (Kastro Neretzias), which greets us as we approach the Kos Port. Then we photograph the thousands of years old Hippocratic Sycamore, which crowns Plateia Platanou Square and is believed to have taught its lessons under the shadow of Hippocrates. We complete our tour in the center by seeing the structures such as the Police Station, Roman Agora, Eleftheria Square, Algerian Hasan Pasha Mosque, Defterdar Mosque, Eleftheria Square and the People's Agora (Dimotiki Agora) in a panoramic way, which were built during the Italian occupation period. After completing the Kos Island Central Tour, we set out for the "Kos Island Discovery Tour". First, we take a break at Tigkaki Beach, one of the most touristic areas of the island, and drink our pleasure coffee. Afterwards, we look up a vineyard where the famous wines of Kos are made, and have the chance to taste the cellars. After moments of pleasure, we continue our journey towards Zia Village at the foot of Dikeos Mountain. During this journey, we watch the Kalymnos and Pserimos Islands and the only lake of the island, Salt Lake on the Tigkaki Coast. When we reach Zia, we get the chance to buy local products unique to Kos Island during our tour in the village bazaar where traditional products are sold. Afterwards, we take our places in a village restaurant with a view to have a delicious lunch consisting of traditional tastes of Greek cuisine. In the afternoon, we go to the Platani Village of Kerme, a time when Kos Turks lived intensely, and visit a local market where products specific to Kos Island and Greece, from wine to cheese, honey to jam, are sold. At the end of the day, after two full days on Kos Island, we wave goodbye to Kos and take our places on the ferry that will take us to Bodrum. When we reach Bodrum Port, after doing our duty free shopping for a short time, we start our return journey to İzmir with our bus waiting for us. We say goodbye to Izmir, which we reached in the evening, with the hope of meeting again on another FMA TRAVEL tour.
